We will Cajole the Sullen Earth
23 January 2023: A few minutes ago, I broke fast with a teaspoon of
honey from my mother's hands. Thank you for all the love, prayers and good
wishes; thank you to the fellow travelers who joined the fast and those who
wrote in to say they were already on fast, Inquilab Zindabad to all who for
burn for justice on this land, thank you to all elders who have dedicated
themselves to the moral and loving India, we and our children will not fail
you.

We will cajole the sullen Earth
We will win back the lost rain clouds
Showers of love will return
Pouring down on our Beloved Nation as of yore.
The garden of friendship will flower afresh
From the winter of our despair
Hindu-Muslim-Sikh-Issai
Will one day, One Sweet Day
Emerge into that lost and blooming spring
Where the gentle Sun shines equally on each once
more
In this place, which will always be
Our very own.
